**THE TEAM**
The Strategic Brand Partnership team's role is to drive commercial value and further strengthen relationships with our Top 30 Global brand partners by working closely with the regional commercial/buying teams, across multiple workstreams. In 2020 the team has focused their priorities on supporting our regions; adapting our ways of working and structure based on regional feedback and needs. In 2021, we plan to focus on a more select number of Top 30 Global brand partners that have the potential to deliver significant growth for the business and we will focus our priorities on the key NMV driving accounts to build stronger engagement with key stakeholders and to ensure that we are top of mind for the Top 30 brands as a business. We are also further developing our buying support function within the team and this role plays a key part in the evolution of this function, we are working on a number of key initiatives with our brand partners that require a more centralised focus on buying support and we are building in additional skillsets around planning and buying to support the future growth of this function.
**ABOUT THE ROLE
We are recruiting a Commercial Planner to join our Strategic Brand Partnership team and drive an exciting new business strategy based in Singapore. This is a 12-month contract position.
The Commercial Planner will be responsible for working collaboratively with the Junior Buyer to manage the merchandising for 3 brands across 12 markets globally. As this is a new function: you will need to create and implement new processes to deal with large amounts of data. Creativity and agility will be key.
On a day to day basis you will be actively trading brands to drive strong commercial growth, feeding into GFG’s longer-term strategy. You will be working with a large global team and fast-paced brands which will require confidence in presenting and commercial strategy. Your role will be divided into three key pillars; merchandise management, driving commercial growth and relationship management.
**1. Merchandise Management**
You will manage the day-to-day merchandising duties in the new department. This will include, tracker management, option planning and weekly trade. You will be expected to further provide in-depth seasonal analysis to present to senior management.
You will support the Junior Buyer in option planning, phasing and the best route to market. It will be your responsibility to ensure that OTB’s are followed and that any slippages are managed accordingly.
This will require a close relationship with the brand partner and actively suggesting trading solutions to promote business.
**2. Driving Commercial Growth**
You will actively seek opportunities to improve processes which will aid future growth. You will understand and analyse your department to increase revenue and profitability these may include but are not limited to; active reordering, in-season budget suggestions, risk mitigation, innovative trend forecasting, take decisive actions based on country trends.
**3. Relationship Management**
This unique role will see you working with multiple stakeholders globally as well as with fast-paced brands. You will need to be confident and assertive with a strong ability for people management.
You will need to have a strong relationship with your team as well as GFG regions to ensure optimum success for the business.
You will work collaboratively with the Junior Buyer and the Strategic Brand Partnership team to ensure that you are conveying GFG’s strategy to be the partner of choice in our markets.
