Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience working with and troubleshooting server hardware and network-related issues using Linux based tools.
- Ability to work non-standard work hours as needed, including weekends, holidays and shift-based schedules.
- Ability to speak and write in English fluently in order to support and communicate effectively with partners.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience working on data center server and networking hardware.- Experience with level Linux skills, including installation, systems administration, and troubleshooting skills.- Knowledge in Networking, including topology and protocol understanding.
- Understanding of data center server and networking hardware infrastructure.
- Ability to lift/move (25kg~) equipment as required.
- Excellent communication skills.
**About the job**:
The Hardware Operations team is responsible for monitoring the physical infrastructure behind Google's search technology.
- As a Data Canter Technician, you will install, configure, test, troubleshoot, and maintain hardware (e.g., servers, components, etc.) and server software. You'll work on the configuration of components such as networks, routers, hubs, bridges, switches, networking protocols, participate and lead small project teams on installations, and develop project contingency plans.

**Responsibilities**:
- Contribute to and lead efforts/projects in the deployment, maintenance, and support of data center infrastructure.
- Manage troubleshooting, and resolve critical or escalated technical issues regarding affected equipment.
- Test and troubleshoot server hardware components and designs.
- Configure and troubleshoot Linux OS-related issues on our servers. Participate actively in on-call rotations to support our data center infrastructure, which may include occasional after hours, weekend, and national holiday shift work.
- Take part in the development of processes and documentation for new areas of work or knowledge. Mentor, train, and guide new team members.
