Design experimental setup and procedure that best fit commercial manufacturing conditions and carry out experiments.
- Ensure stable production through proper campaign management performing quality & technical risk assessments prior to production.
- Troubleshoot technical related issues during production by identifying the root cause and propose corrective and/or preventive actions.
- Design and implement manufacturing processes for new and existing products, production scale-up and mange technology transfers.
- Ensure that processes and design implementations are consistent with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and regulatory requirements.
- Review existing production procedures and implement improvements to optimise manufacturing processes.
- Coordinate and manage Technical Transfers (TT) of new products through effective communication with researchers in HQ.
- Oversee the manufacturing activity of key raw material suppliers from technical aspects.
- Liaise and work with other in-house departments or external vendors, contractors, and other parties for technical development requirements with effective communication skills.
- Review existing department works and propose improvements from the viewpoint of knowledge retention.
- Provide lead role in troubleshooting for technical related issues and facilitating communication between departments with minimum guidance.
- Lead, motivate and mentor laboratory technicians and other junior Chemists.
- Provide guidance, support, and technical expertise on technical related GMP matters to ensure full compliance to regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate cross department cost reduction activities.

**Job Requirements**
- Minimally a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Chemistry-related fields with 3 years of relevant experience in a chemical R&D or manufacturing setting.
- Experience in organic synthesis or process chemistry is an advantage.
- Experience and prior knowledge in enzymes and immobilized enzymes is an advantage.
- Willing to work in manufacturing business field with a combination of researching and engineering skills.
- Able to work in a chemical laboratory environment and wear required PPE.
- Good work ethics, problem solving and communication skills.
- Proficient in MS Office.
