Jewellery Designer

Job Summary:
We are seeking a talented and creative Jewellery Designer to join our team. **Responsibilities**:

- Conceptualize and develop innovative and marketable jewellery designs, including necklaces, bracelets, earrings, rings, and other accessories.
- Research and analyze current fashion trends, materials, and techniques to ensure designs are relevant and appealing to target customers.
- Create detailed sketches, technical drawings, and specifications for each jewellery design.
- Collaborate with the production team to ensure feasibility and cost-effectiveness of designs without compromising quality and aesthetics.
- Select appropriate materials, gemstones, and metals for each design, considering factors such as durability, cost, and visual appeal.
- Work closely with the marketing team to understand customer preferences and design jewellery that meets their desires and expectations.
- Conduct regular market research to stay updated with industry trends, competitors' designs, and customer demands.
- Create prototypes and samples of designs for presentation and review.
- Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback to colleagues.
- Maintain accurate documentation of designs, including records of materials, specifications, and revisions.
- Collaborate with external suppliers, manufacturers, and artisans to bring designs to life.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, ethical sourcing practices, and quality control procedures.
- Attend trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events to gather inspiration and network with professionals in the field.
- Continuously develop your skills and knowledge of jewellery design techniques, materials, and manufacturing processes.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Jewellery Design, Fine Arts, Fashion Design, or a related field. Relevant certifications and training programs will also be considered.
- Proven experience as a Jewellery Designer, either through previous work experience or an impressive portfolio of designs.
- Proficiency in industry-standard design software, such as CAD (Computer-Aided Design), Adobe Illustrator, or Rhino.
- Strong sketching and drawing skills to effectively communicate design concepts.
- In-depth knowledge of jewellery materials, gemstones, and manufacturing techniques.
- Understanding of market trends, consumer preferences, and the ability to translate them into unique and commercially viable designs.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work meticulously to achieve high-quality results.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with cross-functional teams.
- Creative thinking and ability to generate new design ideas while also incorporating feedback and direction.
- Strong time management and organizational skills to meet project deadlines.
- Knowledge of ethical sourcing and sustainability practices within the jewellery industry is a plus.
