An opportunity exists for a **Solution Architect** to lead architecture of solutions ensuring consistency with Munich Re technology standards and patterns, and specified requirements agreed with the internal customers. The developed solutions guided by the role owner are expected to meet the financial targets for build and operating costs of the solution, and are developed in a fast paced, global and regulated financial services environment.

**Your job**
- Responsibility for the implementation of technology solutions and mapping the business requirements to systems/technical requirements to ensure alignment with the enterprise architectural plan
- Accountability for detailed component specifications and translating these into detailed designs for implementation
- Support of the strategic direction of technology investments to assist in the development of the enterprise architecture and maximise the return on technology investment
- Responsibility for the adherence to appropriate standards (performance, monitor capability, audit acceptability, secure environment). Guide solutions through the appointed Architecture Review Board, as required
- Responsibility for achieving the balance between functional, service quality and systems management requirements
- Communication of architecture objectives to business and consulting during the development of product requirements

**Your profile**
- Experience/domain knowledge in Reinsurance, Insurance or other financial services.
- Track record of delivering results in a fast paced, global and regulated business environment
- University degree, preferably in Computer engineering / IT or similar qualification
- Demonstrated experience in one or more of the following technical domains: Cloud native development initiatives or cloud migrations, cloud security and/or DevSecOps, privacy and data protection, development of or maturity of IT platforms and standards (e.g. shared services), for example technologies such as Appian, Informatica or SAP.
- Strong solution strategy ability, including a demonstrated ability to communicate solutions and their benefits to stakeholders in IT and business units
- Maturity, relationship management and communication skills to exert influence towards standardization. Willingness to challenge the status quo when there is clear business benefit;
- Organizational change management capabilities promoting collaboration, accountability and overcoming silos
- Proven track record in working in a global environment with numerous stakeholders and varying regulatory, policy or compliance requirements Willingness to learn and understand the business needs and processes
- Business acumen to find solutions focusing on cost and benefit
- Thought leadership - able to monitor market trends and to drive creative thinking on future technology capabilities which will help increase the business value of Munich Re
- Fluent spoken and written business English
- Proficient in technologies such as SQL database,.net, databricks, PowerBi, R.
