**Our team and the role we are hiring for**

We are seeking a **Security Engineer **to join our Infrastructure and Security team, and to partner with internal departments on security operations support.

This role reports directly to the** Head of Cyber Security**

**Responsibilities**
- Work with developers to improve security of products and services, design technical solutions to address security weaknesses, work with stakeholders to implement them
- Application security incident response and resolution and security threat management
- Design and implement web-app & mobile app security
- Integration of security SAST and DAST tools in CI-CD pipeline
- Create and report on KPIs related to web-app and mobile-app security
- Setup security monitoring and alerts, triage and respond to alerts within SLA
- Periodic and adhoc security scanning and continuous security enhancements in collaboration with Infra and App teams
- Strong communication skills - communicating with business stakeholders
- Result oriented and be able to resolve problems with end-to-end accountability

**Requirements**:

- Holds a Degree in IT, Computer Science or other relevant fields
- Proven work experience as a System Security Engineer or Information Security Engineer
- Experience in operating, building and maintaining security systems
- Detailed technical knowledge of database and operating system security
- Hands on experience working with AWS and Azure, and native security tools
- Thorough understanding of the latest security principles, techniques, and protocols
- Familiarity with web related technologies (APIs, Web apps, Web Services, Service Oriented Architectures and Micro-service) and of network/web related protocols
- Problem solving skills and ability to work under pressure
- Ability to communicate clearly in both writing and verbally.

- Genuine curiosity and strong desire to continuously learn and grow
- A start-up attitude - highly collaborative with an entrepreneurial, roll-up-your sleeves attitude, pragmatic, and able to work independently when required
- Comfortable with ambiguity - we're a fast-growing business and there's always unchartered territories, which is part of the fun. You should be comfortable with it and understand that not everything is 100% defined all the time.
