Principal - Cloud Infrastructure

5+ years consulting or in-house technical leadership experience with a track record of working with stakeholders to identify and prioritise business and technical requirements in order to plan and execute IT transformations
- Experience in technology sales, pre-sales, or technical consulting in customer-facing roles
- Customer facing experience driving discussions with senior stakeholders regarding trade-offs, best practices, project delivery and risk mitigation
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations.
- Experience leading the architecture and implementation of complex, large-scale Cloud solutions

Job summary

The person in this role will come with experience designing, planning, and executing complex Cloud Infrastructure projects, architecting and implementing complex Cloud Native solutions. They provide consultancy, extensive hands-on building, coupled with cross-industry business acumen, including a heavy dose of passion for continued knowledge acquisition and growth, obsession for customers and their success using AWS to align with the desired business outcomes. This role is a blend of consultancy as well as technical skills, across all aspects of Cloud Infrastructure design and implementation. It guides AWS Customers’ adoption of Cloud Native solutions, using Cloud services in large scale and complex environments.

Key job responsibilities
- Educate customers on the value proposition of AWS and various Cloud architecture business and technology benefits
- Lead deep architectural discussions and design exercises with Customers to create Well Architected solutions on AWS Cloud
- Author or otherwise contribute to AWS customer-facing publications such as whitepapers and proofs of concept
- In partnership with the ProServe leadership and account team, formulate and execute a strategy to accelerate customer outcomes through the adoption of AWS in conjunction with Professional Services engagements
- Build deep relationships with senior technical individuals within customers to enable them to be cloud advocates
- Capture and share best-practice knowledge, sales and delivery content amongst the AWS Professional Services community

- Hands-on experience designing and implementing large-scale, complex, AWS Cloud solutions
- Hands-on designing and implementing large-scale infrastructure as code solutions

- Strong practical Linux and Windows-based systems administration skills in a Cloud or Virtualized environment.
