**The Opportunity**:_
The Opentext Professional Services team is comprised of more than 3,000 consultants who act as trusted advisors, managing long-lasting relationships with more than 100,000 customers around the world. They are responsible for the delivery of business solutions from pre-sales to post implementation. Our teams of experts help organizations solve issues, create value, improve business performance, and work more effectively in an increasingly digital world._

**What You Are Great At**:

- Understands the customer business requirements, makes design choices and develops solutions that meets the requirements using appropriate features of OpenText AppWorks Platform (formerly known as Process Suite).
Takes ownership of code quality. Actively and effectively reviews source code, takes defect prevention steps in software development.
- Provides high level work estimates and assists in task planning & task allocation.
- Mentors junior software engineers within the team, guides them in their work
- Passionate about new technologies/innovations happening around. Constantly upgrades knowledge on latest technologies and standards.
- Should be able to describe customer requirements technically and should be able to build quick proof of concepts.
- Act as a team leader during implementation phase.
- Maintain close working relationship with the customer.
- Able to conceptualize and build high quality demos for marketing or analyst briefings, pre-sales opportunities.
**Desired Skills & Experience**
Knowledge of the existing OpenText product portfolio, associated technologies and standards is required.
- Should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must have a flair for clearly documenting design choices or technical decisions made
- As a technical leader, should be able to influence others in the team by clearly articulating the reasons and providing justifications for technical decisions made.
- Rich hands-on work experience on Java, JDBC, AJAX, XML, OOAD is mandatory
- Working Experience with Java Scripts, SOAP, Web Services, J2EE, HTML5 is highly desirable
- Database skills, SQL, Triggers/Stored Procedures and working experience with any of well-known database (MS SQL Server, Oracle, DB2 or MySQL)
- Possess in depth technical knowledge on:

- Service Oriented Architecture
- W3C standards
- Platforms (.Net, Java, J2EE)
- Programming tools such as Source Safe, Crystal Reports
- Web 2.0 technologies, Frameworks like Angular 2
Knowledge on Web Servers and Application Servers
- Software Testing tools, JUnit, QTP, Load Runner, etc.
- Software Configuration Management, ANT, Version Control tools, etc.
- Network architectures, security, HA deployments, administration
- Software development methodologies
