Job Description

The Infrastructure Management AVP is accountable and responsible for running IT Infrastructure Services, ensuring the system is running according to the agreed Service Level. He/She is responsible for deploying frameworks and technical elements according to the strategic roadmap.

1 General Description

The Infrastructure Management AVP is accountable and responsible for running IT Infrastructure Services, ensuring the system is running according to the agreed Service Level. He/She is responsible for deploying frameworks and technical elements according to the strategic roadmap.

2 Tasks and Responsibilities
- Lead Infrastructure Service Managers
- Manage IT vendors to deliver according to the agreed Service Level
- Responsible for defining and creating technology strategies for infrastructure to optimize use of technology resources related to IT infrastructure.
- Responsible for compiling infrastructure SOPs and setting standards. Identifies problems and significantly improves, changes or adapts existing methods and techniques.
- Implements infrastructure technology standards jointly with IT Architects
- Responsible for arranging, managing, and leading operations, networks, system installations (both cloud-based and on-site), service desks, and support operations.
- Oversees various projects, designs and staffs them, allocates resources, guides their technical development and provides technical support; sets budget and timeline goals for new or improved equipment, systems, programs or projects; and keeps track of their development.
- Monitors, encourages, and assesses the performance of IT personnel; assigns tasks; imparts technical and professional know-how; resolves issues with performance; and proposes decisions related to the recruitment, promotion, and disciplining of personnel.
- Examines company requirements, designs and presents proposals/strategies to fulfill the information technology and technical assistance needs.
- Examine vendor bids for technology solutions and services to make sure they meet technical requirements and fit the business objectives.

5 Experience and Qualifications
- At least 10 years of practical expertise in planning, deployment, administration of technology infrastructure and user support for networks, voice, security, audio-visual, servers, storage, and desktop technologies. 7 years in a lead or supervisory role preferred.
- Study to university degree/diploma level of natural sciences, computer science, or an equivalent education
