**Position Description**:
The Leader of Global Community Impact (GCI) is responsible to establish and lead the Consumer Health social impact strategy, aligned to the company’s ESG strategy and inclusive of product donation, disaster relief, and employee engagement programs. The Leader will direct the implementation of the strategy through a small team of professional staff, a global network of supportive colleagues, and external vendors and partner organizations. This Leader will provide strategic counsel to the CEO and Executive Committee and will serve as a member of the External Affairs leadership team, working across functions and geographies to deliver impactful and engaging company-wide social impact initiatives.

**Specifically, the Leader will**:

- Translate the Consumer Health company’s business and ESG aspirations into tangible social impact programs that support reputation and growth for a dynamic global business that delivers ~$14B in revenue annually
- Direct the efforts of the Global Community Impact function, including goal-setting and strategic direction
- Provide executive oversight to the business' community relations programs inclusive of internal and external giving and social commitments, including volunteer initiatives and charitable events
- Drive the development of the Consumer Health company’s employee engagement initiatives related to the work of social impact
- Build and sustain meaningful relationships with community partners and coalitions, civic leaders, and other key external and internal stakeholders
- Serve as an effective spokesperson and advocate for corporate community involvement programs to internal and external audiences
- Approve strategic new programs and monitor current programs for continuous improvement
- Review and approve proposed new policies, policy updates and guidelines
- Monitor community relations plans and budgets, ensuring investments drive meaningful impact against tangible key performance indicators
- Plan, implement, and manage community trends/asset and priorities identification process, including impact assessment in collaboration with the ESG team

**Qualifications** Position Requirements**:

- A social impact visionary with strong leadership presence and at least 10-15 years of relevant Corporate Social Responsibility experience.
- Background in sustainability, charitable giving, community relations, and/or employee engagement, as well as an eye for global trends that impact those issues.
- Demonstrated success in building repeatable, scalable programs that leverage product donations, employee engagement, and funding to drive major social and environmental changes.
- A strong communication background and proven ability to work in crisis situations.
- Demonstrated experience leading a team of direct and indirect reports within a highly matrixed global organization.
- Strong credibility across an established network of external relationships in the sustainability and human health sectors.
- Understanding of the public policy environment specific to sustainability and human health.
- The ability to employ expert judgment and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, global matrix environment is required.
