**About our group**:
The Media new product launch team provides technical solutions to new product qualification, product yield, quality, and reliability through developing new processes and metrology. The team also needs to work closely with the media R&D group and drive the design center to continue optimizing the media process to meet product electrical recording performance as well as mechanical, tribology, and manufacturability. This role will report to an Engineering Manager.

**About the role - you will**:

- Work in a team that develops and deploys technologies to evaluate and provide feedback on high-density magnetic recording media from variable engineering samples
- Work on spin stand testing, to provide accurate electrical performance results at the component level, analyze the variable factors
- Develop and correlate component testing method to hard disk drive results
- Set up component testing hardware and software and lead a group of technicians and engineers.

**Your experience includes**:

- Knowledge and skills in any of these areas - Master/Bachelor degree in the engineering field, Magnetic recording knowledge, spin stand testing hardware, and software for electrical signal processing
- will be beneficial in this role
- Accomplished lab skills, including operation of magnetic characterization tools, and data analysis techniques are all skills that will be beneficial in this role.

**Location**:
Our Woodlands site is one of the largest electronics manufacturing sites in Singapore, housing our recording media operations. Spread over three sites, it is easily accessible via bus or from the MRT Station, with many employees taking mass transportation to work. Ample free on-site parking is also available.
