**Job Description Summary**: The ASEAN Communications Leader is responsible for the development and deployment of the public relations, media, employee, and executive communications strategy, keeping alignment with GE Healthcare’s overall communications strategy, regional Intercontinental and global messaging. This role will support the GE Healthcare AKA CEO by defining and executing a communications strategy and related tactics, as well as support the Intercontinental Communications Head with specific communications needs. The role will have dual reporting - solid line to the Communications Director, GE Healthcare Intercontinental region and a dotted line to the CEO of GE Healthcare AKA.

**Roles and Responsibilities**
- In partnership with the GE Healthcare AKA CEO and business leadership team, leverages the key business priorities to create communication strategies that move the needle for ASEAN and the Intercontinental region internally and externally.
- Develops external communication plans to execute multi-channel communications programs that further GE Healthcare’s brand development and positioning across multiple stakeholder groups, including customers, business leaders, media, industry group and governments. Responsible for ensuring that the image and reputation of GE Healthcare is represented positively, protects the brand across all communication channels.
- Proactively drives an earned media strategy focusing on trade publications and tier 1 media (where relevant) to position GE Healthcare as the leading innovator striving for precision health.
- Builds and executes thought leadership strategies for the AKA CEO and key ASEAN country leaders (eg. LinkedIn articles, speaking engagements, etc.)
- Interacts with internal and external stakeholders to refine, improve and outline the communication plans.
- Drives internal engagement and affinity across the employee population by clearly communicating the organization’s strategy, priorities and related progress.
- Partners with the AKA CEO and ASEAN country leaders on critical organizational projects such as acquisitions, integrations or divestments; organizational realignments or restructuring
- Partners with Marketing to support market communications engagement that supports the business strategy.
- Serves as a crisis communications point of contact for specific business issues, potentially including cross-GE Healthcare issues.
- Leverages data to enhance and improve strategy and tactics, regularly reports on progress
- Coordinates and directs all communication resources for GE Healthcare in ASEAN.
- In partnership with the Intercontinental Communications Director, plan and deliver internal/external communications initiatives which support the Intercontinental business strategic priorities.
**Required Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, English, Marketing, or a related field and minimum 10 years communications experience covering corporate communications, PR, journalism or marketing communications
- A track record of influencing and engaging successfully with internal and external stakeholders (thought leaders, key opinion leaders, influencers, press, governments) at the highest levels in a highly regulated, politically sensitive and technical environment
- A track record of influencing and engaging successfully with senior internal leaders, driving employee engagement and managing through change
- Ability to simplify complex issues and act quickly with sensitivity to a range of external perspectives
- Strong commercial acumen and understanding of the business drivers
- Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated teamwork skills
- Clear interest and understanding of current affairs, politics and public opinion and the ability to gauge the effects of these on present and future business plans
- Ability to work in a complex business matrix, meeting the needs of both the P&L and the Corporate Marketing and Communications Function
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects
- Integrity: accepting and adhering to high ethical, moral, and personal values in decisions, communications, actions, and when dealing with others
- This role requires significant experience in the Communications & Communications Business Partner.
