A Principal Data Scientist will lead data engineering, data modeling or model deployment and shape group processes. This role will lead a project within a group by being able to define the business problem and understand what is needed to execute, such as the project schedule and resource requirements. This role will lead the team effort to build the process of extracting data, cleaning up the data, building the data dictionary, and being able to initiate new projects. This role is able to experiment with new technologies and provide guidance to junior level data scientists to build models. This role also defines the model deployment process, is able to execute or lead the implementation of model deployment with full stack development. This role starts to shape the individual group strategy and process. This role works internally and help identify data science opportunities inside a group. This role has lead authorship of publications and patents and helps identify and participate in industry events. This role mentors team members.

**Requirements**:

- Completion of an undergraduate degree in STEM and
- 8+ years of related experience is required.
- Master's degree or Ph.D.in STEM is preferred.

Contract length: 12 months

**Salary**: $8,000.00 - $12,000.00 per month

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
