In this role, you will work to assure quality of software products developed in Prudential Singapore. As part of this dynamic role, you will report to the Quality Assurance Manager; and work closely with business units and other IT teams to deliver quality assurance, testing deliverables for Prudential Singapore. You will also need to manage QA testing resources and perform the department support related functions such as vendor, knowledge, performance management. The aim is to maintain superior performance, knowledge management, and operate in sustainable and scalable way.

Job description
- Support the prompt delivery and implementation of strategic initiatives and BAU enhancements requested by the business.
- Participate in discussions with the business teams and Business Analyst to understand the requirements and provide estimates for tester resources and effort (man-days) for test completion.
- Discuss with the Developer, Business Analyst and Business teams to understand the enhancements that are to be delivered.
- Translate business requirements into complete test scenarios, conditions and expected results for user acceptance testing.
- Responsible for the execution of user acceptance testing and documentation of test results
- Track the outstanding defects and work with delivery team in resolving the tickets promptly and within the agreed timeline.
- Proactively seek to make continuous improvement to test coverage and execution
- Actively participate in scrum activities and meeting discussion, for example sprint planning, daily stand-up and retrospective.
- Prepare testing status report and work closely with business users.
- General administration & support:

- Support in vendor management as per Procurement & HR protocols and procedures for QA resources including recruitment, onboarding and offboarding, invoicing administration.
- Manage the allocated budget for Quality Assurance function.
- Provide overall department support for governance and communication
- Improving QA function in Prudential
- Monitoring of performance, KPI management and support quality reviews
- Support improvement initiatives to continuously improve capabilities, productivity and efficiency of the Quality Assurance function.
- Support of knowledge management to facilitate sharing knowledge

- Experience in writing clear and comprehensive test plans and test cases is advantageous
- Experience with tools like JIRA, Confluence, SharePoint
- Experience in software testing & SDLC framework
- Exposure to Waterfall and Agile testing process

Working Experience
- Minimum 2 year testing experience as QA lead
- Knowledge & experience of automation testing is a plus
- Working experience preferably in software, insurance or financial industry

Education and Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in engineering, computer science or a related field is preferred
- Fluent in written and spoken English
