**Role Summary**:
Join our international team as a Data Engineer in genomics, where your expertise will play a pivotal role in revolutionizing precision medicine. You'll craft sophisticated data pipelines, harness AWS's latest technologies, and collaborate with a global array of bioinformaticians and data scientists. **Key Responsibilities**:

- **Data Pipeline Development**: Design, construct, and maintain efficient and reliable data pipelines to support genomic data analysis using Python/R and tools like Docker and Jupyter Notebook.
- **AWS Cloud Services Management**: Utilize AWS services (e.g., S3, ECR) to deploy and manage scalable, highly available data infrastructure that supports genomic data processing and analysis.
- **Collaboration and Innovation**: Work closely with bioinformaticians, genomic scientists, and other stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver innovative data engineering solutions.
- **Continuous Learning and Improvement**: Stay abreast of the latest developments in data engineering, genomics, and related fields to continually improve data handling and pipeline efficiency.

**Qualifications**:

- Proven experience in data engineering with a strong proficiency in Python/R and familiarity with Jupyter Notebook.
- Solid working experience with AWS (S3, ECR, etc.), Git (GitLab/GitHub), and Docker.
- Demonstrable experience in building and maintaining data pipelines and data storage solutions.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, capable of collaborating in a multidisciplinary team.

**Nice to Have**:

- Background in genomics or bioinformatics.
- Experience with genomic data tools (REGENIE, plink2, Java Genomic Utils) and Nextflow.
- Knowledge of Spark and C++.
- Experience in data lake formation and strong data analytics skills.
- Familiarity with HealthOmics or similar domains.
- Front-end development experience.
