**Key Responsibilities**
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server environments, including versions such as 2016, 2019, and later.
- Perform regular system updates, patches, and backups to ensure high availability and security.
- Monitor server health and performance, identifying potential issues, and proactively addressing them.
- Deploy, configure, and manage VMware environments, including vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, and vMotion.
- Troubleshoot virtualization issues, manage resource allocation, and ensure optimal VM performance.
- Implement best practices for VMware environments, focusing on stability, scalability, and security.
- Administer Active Directory (AD), including user accounts, groups, policies, and permissions.
- Maintain AD security policies, user account management, and address authentication issues.
- Configure and manage Group Policy Objects (GPOs) for system configurations.
- Manage and monitor storage solutions in VMware environments.
- Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery plans for both Windows and virtual environments.
- Ensure data protection, regular backups, and system restores are properly configured and tested.
- Enforce security protocols, including antivirus, firewall, and other endpoint protection measures.
- Ensure compliance with IT policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular security audits and patch management activities.
- Provide Tier 2/3 support for escalated issues related to Windows and VMware systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex infrastructure issues.
- Document system configurations, troubleshooting steps, and maintenance activities.
- Develop and use PowerShell or other scripting tools to automate routine tasks and improve efficiency.
- Identify opportunities for automation in system administration and monitoring.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 6+ years of experience in Wintel administration with a focus on VMware.
- Strong expertise with Windows Server (2012, 2016, 2019, or later) and Active Directory.
- Proven experience managing VMware environments (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter).
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VLANs.
- Strong experience in using software tools - Putty, Solar Winds Monitoring Tool, BMC, Clarion
- Familiarity with backup and disaster recovery tools.
- Proficiency with PowerShell scripting for automation tasks.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or similar certifications.
- Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate.
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) in hybrid environments.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools like Nagios, SolarWinds, or Splunk.
