Digital Delivery Lead

**About the role**:

- As a member of the DD&T team, leads the local execution and implementation of GMS Data Science strategy and initiatives at site level.
- Manages and executes local data science initiatives.
- Gathers inputs and identifies local data science initiatives with stakeholders throughout the organization to drive improvement with the use of data science.
- Support DD&T Site Lead in the development of the site DD&T roadmap with site inputs.
- Leads continuous improvement, investigations, and data science trainings at site level.
- Act as the interface between the site and the global digital / data science community. Provide input as site representative in global forums/meetings/strategy and bring back outcome to feed back into the site DD&T roadmap.
- Act as a champion of Data Science at site and promote the use of data science.

**How you will contribute**:
Site Data Science Initiatives
- Manage and execute local initiatives/projects according to site prioritization (examples of projects/initiatives: predictive maintenance, process predictive analysis, downtime analysis).
- Lead project planning, resource allocation and the execution of the initiatives/projects according to the agreed project timelines
- Manage and execute local process monitoring and process improvement in collaboration with global GMS data science (e.g. descriptive statistics and visualization, statistical process control, out-of-the-box-tools, predictive modelling) and AGILE team.
- Share data science knowledge with project team members in relevant projects/initiatives to elevate their data science capabilities.
- Leverage data science to mine and analyze data to drive optimization and improvement of site KPIs.
- Provide input for the site’s DD&T roadmap strategy, work with site DD&T Lead to define and update the site DD&T roadmap. Provide input to align site roadmap with global data science strategy.

Collaboration
- Represents the site in global data science strategy forums. Provides site inputs aligned with site DD&T Lead in global meetings and discussions.
- Supports and participates in global/functional GMS data science community.
- Lead the local implementation of GMS data science roadmap initiatives/projects according to site prioritization as endorsed by Site Leadership Team.
- Work with local cross functional teams to execute the GMS data science roadmap initiatives/projects according to project timelines.
- Align with cross functional teams on resources requirement to support GMS data science roadmap initiatives/projects.

Coaching
- Champion the use of data science at site to deliver the Site’s DD&T Roadmap
- Drive and deliver necessary local data science trainings.
- Responsibility to adhere to any applicable EHS requirements.

**What you bring to Takeda**:
**Education and Experience Requirements**
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or another quantitative field.
- 5-7 years’ work experience in data analysis related position or equivalent academic experience.
- Contribution to github repositories and stackoverflow and participations in competitions, e.g. on kaggle, data challenges, hackathons are advantageous.

Technical/Functional (Line) Expertise
- Strong expertise in Artificial Intelligence/Deep Learning, Machine Learning, Big Data and Digital.
- Able to use statistical computer languages (R, Python, SLQ, etc.) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets.
- Proficiency in database languages (SQL), understanding of data models and databases.
- Knowledge of a variety of machine learning techniques (clustering, decision tree learning, artificial neural networks, etc.) and their real-world advantages/drawbacks
- Capabilities to translate business needs into data analytics concepts and the other way.
- Hands-on, able to implement and execute initiatives.
- Strong ability in translating data science, artificial intelligence and machine learning trends and technologies into execution.
