Senior Asst Director

**[What the role is]**

The Sustainability Division (SD) plans, strategises and develops initiatives to drive resource conservation and environmental sustainability across the public, private and people sectors. It develops and promotes programmes, coordinates and administers incentive schemes, and builds capability to support this drive. It also coordinates efforts within NEA for the organisation and its staff to play its own part in meeting the national targets as set out in the Singapore Green Plan 2030 and Greengov.sg.

Specifically, you will be part of the Branch under the Department of Sustainable Packaging Policy and Household Programmes, working in a fast-paced environment that will be involved in the planning, development and implementation of strategies and initiatives relating to the enhanced Climate Friendly Households Programme and domestic recycling (e.g. 3Rs (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle), National Recycling Programme).

**[What you will be working on]**

Your scope of work will include the following:

- Plan, review, and implement the enhanced Climate Friendly Households Programme, including the management of feedback and appeals, as well as public communications efforts
- Drive collaborations and partnerships with stakeholders, such as retailers, industry associations, and members of public in the implementation of the enhanced Climate Friendly Households Programme, and amplify programme impact
- Lead analysis of global and local circular economy and waste-to-resource management trends and best practices, to identify opportunities for Singapore’s domestic households recycling ecosystem
- Drive the review of effectiveness of existing policies and initiatives for domestic households recycling, and recommend enhancements including legislative levers, infrastructure requirements, and programmes.
- Drive stakeholder engagements in developing domestic recycling initiatives

Your scope of work will include the following:

**[What we are looking for]**
- Preferably 8-10 years of working experience in sustainability, environmental or waste management fields; and/or policy/regulatory/programme management roles
- Have held a team lead/leadership role for 2-3 years
- Experience in managing large-scale programmes and budget; developing/implementing recycling/energy efficiency initiatives/programmes would be highly advantageous
- Exceptional organisational and programme management skills, ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently, and adept at working with corporates and public stakeholders
- Good quantitative skills, proficiency in data analysis and projections would be valuable
- Dynamic and pleasant personality, with excellent inter-personal communications skills to engage diverse stakeholders
- Good team manager and team player. Resourceful, resilient, highly self-motivated, and adaptable
- Meticulous with an eye for detail, strong writing and analytical skills
