**About The Opportunity**

**Key duties & responsibilities**:

- Develop and maintain data warehouses, ensuring robust and scalable storage solutions.
- Design, develop, and deploy efficient ELT pipelines to integrate data from various sources.
- Configure, deploy, and manage relational databases, maintaining system stability and accessibility.
- Conduct detailed analyses of data and process-related issues to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
- Collaborate with diverse stakeholders to identify and resolve data-related challenges.
- Troubleshoot and fix reporting issues, or coordinate with relevant stakeholders for solutions.
- Investigate and address gaps in data submission processes to enhance data collection and accuracy.
- Document data structures and frameworks to preserve and share knowledge within the team.
- Define and implement data architecture frameworks, standards, and principles, focusing on modeling, metadata, security, reference data, and master data.
- Develop and sustain a common data model (CDM) to standardize data across the organization.
- Support technical innovation within the team by providing coding assistance and creative solutions to meet project goals.
- Tackle configuration and integration issues across multiple systems, ensuring seamless data flow and functionality.
- Create and refine data quality analytics and reporting tools to monitor and improve data quality.
- Explore and establish new process improvements to optimize data management practices.
- Design and implement advanced analytics solutions that handle high-volume streaming and batch datasets efficiently.
- Maintain and enhance the Azure-based reporting platform, leveraging advanced data engineering tools such as Azure Data Factory, DevOps/GitHub, Storage Account/Data Lake/Synapse, Databricks, Key Vault, AAD, Microsoft Power BI, Python, SQL, and PySpark.

**We’d love to hear from you if you have...**
- Bachelor's degree in Computing, Engineering or related technical discipline
- Min 5 years’ experience as a Data Engineer or Data Modeler
- Experience in designing, implementing, testing, and deploying data pipelines, data flows, datasets, and linked services in Azure Data Factory
- Experience in creating pipeline templates to enhance reusability across projects
- Demonstrate excellent creative problem-solving skills, including the ability to conduct research to define problems accurately
- Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong focus on customer service
- Ability to guide the development of project data requirements, including policies, standards, and guidelines, and drive a user experience that is intuitive and delivers the right information at the right time
- Ability to work effectively as a team member to achieve shared goals
- Certification in Azure or Databricks would be desirable
- Knowledgeable in modern data warehousing techniques
- High attention to detail and able analyse and understand underlying facts
- Highly flexible and capable of managing change, pressure, and deadlines in an Agile (Scrum) environment
- Skilled in working with large volumes of inconsistent data
