**Roles & Responsibilities**

**ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Prepare and submit a Site Environmental Control Programme to the Occupier of the construction site
- Identify environmental issues and recommend measures to rectify the irregularities
- Assist the authorities to investigate environmental issues
- Organise campaigns, training courses and other activities to develop and sustain the interest of workers in maintaining good environmental health standards
- Plan and lead on environmental impact workshop.
- Proper documentation of all environmental related records, certificates, notice and official related NEA correspondence.
- Able to implementing of the site environmental management plan.
- Duties under the Code of Practice on Environmental Control Officer (ECO)
- Actively monitor and prevent environmental health issues within the construction site.
- Advise contractors on environmental remediation measures.
- Enforce compliance with the environmental laws and regulations
- Carry out site engagement of stakeholders for environmental lapses, as well as educating workers on maintaining good environmental health standards.
- Take charge of the following aspects:

- Disease-bearing insects and rats;
- Proper disposal of construction waste/ marine clay;
- Noise, air and water pollution;
- Earth littering;
- Siltation of drains;
- Food hygiene in on-site canteens (if any);
- Proper maintenance of septic tank(s)/ holding tank(s), chemical/ portable toilet(s) and other sanitary facilities;
- Any other environmental health matters.

**Job Requirements**:

- Must possess at least Diploma, Specialist Diploma or equivalent
- Registered with National Environmental Agency (NEA) as Environmental Control Officer (ECO).
- Registered Earth Control Measures Officer (ECMO) with Institute of Engineers, Singapore (IES).
- At least three (3) years post registration and practical experience relevant to the scope of works of the
- Contract.
- LTA project experience is preferred
- Familiar with requirements stipulated under LTA General Specification Appendix A (Safety, Health And Environment)
- Proficient in MS Office
- Good Communication skills
- Able to work independently with mínimal supervision
- Diligent with an analytical
