Grasshopper is a leading Asian proprietary trading group and a major liquidity provider for global exchanges. We are expanding and seeking an ambitious and team-oriented individual to join us as a **Junior Quant Analyst**.

**Responsibilities**:

- Conduct original quantitative trading alpha signal research using ideas relevant but not limited to; market microstructure and the price discovery process, determinants of spreads and quotes, participants trading behaviours, private transaction cost data and statistical machine learning techniques
- Manage all aspects of the strategy development process, including data analysis, hypothesis testing, back-testing, signal implementation and post-trade analysis
- Maintain and improve current trading infrastructure used for daily operations

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Data Analytics, Economics, or other related disciplines
- 0 to 2 years of working experience (fresh graduates strongly welcomed to apply)
- Strong coding capability in Python is a must
- Experience with SQL is a plus
- Experience working in a Linux environment is a plus
- Willingness to take ownership of their work
- Detail-oriented work ethic
- Able to operate both independently and collaboratively within a team
- Having concise and effective communication skills
- Possess decisive thinking capability with the ability to not only perform but thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced professional trading environment
