Analyst - Senior Principal Analyst

**What the role is**
- You will be part of a team responsible for the economic regulation of the natural monopolies in the gas sectors to ensure that they operate efficiently and effectively to achieve price competitiveness and reliability of energy supply for consumers. You will work with the team to review the gas market development and ensure that the appropriate regulatory mechanisms and incentives are in place at each stage of the market development for the natural monopolies to meet EMA's policy objectives.
- Review the economic regulation framework and policies to ensure that appropriate economic incentives are provided for efficient operations and prudent investments of the natural monopolies.
- Monitor and analyse the financial statements of EMA's licensees.
- Determine the regulated charges and tariffs charged by the natural monopolies to ensure adequate recovery of prudent investments.
- Administer the licensing process to ensure proper assessment of new entrants in the gas sector, and reviewing the regulatory and licensing framework to embrace new business models and new energy technologies.
