Engineer (Research) - Contract

**What the role is**
- You will be responsible for identifying and implementing new initiatives to advance HDB’s building technologies and research, so as to advance building performance.
**What you will be working on**
- You will have opportunities to carry out research in areas such as prefabrication, advanced construction and building technologies, robotics & automation and advanced engineering material to improve construction productivity and life cycle performance of HDB buildings. You will collaborate with external agencies, institutes of higher learning (IHLs) and other relevant stakeholders to undertake applied research and implement research outcomes in HDB projects to improve the built environment. You will also assist to plan and manage R&D testing facilities and programs.
**What we are looking for**
- You should possess background in Civil and Structural Engineering recognised by the Professional Engineers Board, or in a related discipline, and have at least 3 years of experience in Civil and Structural services in the built environment. You should possess experience working with a multi-disciplinary team, have good interpersonal and problem solving skills, be competent in delivering presentations and writing research and funding proposals. Past experience in research in building design, construction prefabrication and other advanced construction technologies would be an added advantage.
