The Head of Asia has the overall responsibility to look after and coordinate all DNB activities in Singapore, Shanghai and Mumbai offices. Heading up the Asia Management committee and supported by a team of professional and dedicated employees, the incumbent will oversee DNB’s operation in one of the most dynamic and competitive markets in the world.
**What does your key responsibilities and tasks entail**:
- Day-to-day management of DNB Asia’s business activities, including management and development of employees as well as the Corporate Banking matrix organization
- Ensure that the local operations comply with DNB’s Governance model and policies, as well as relevant local rules and regulations
- Being overall accountable for the risk in Asia
- Set financial and action plans to secure delivery of the best customer experience and fulfillment of the financial targets for DNB
- Secure cooperation with relevant stakeholders in DNB, with a special focus on Markets and Treasury
- Refine and develop the customer portfolio and in line with the Corporate Banking strategy
- Act as an ambassador to promote DNB in relevant forums, and representing DNB towards local customers, authorities, media and other relevant or appropriate communities
- Participates in strategic initiatives and pro-actively advise and assist on change initiatives
- Keep the home organization informed about the local markets and conditions as well as about areas, competence, or knowledge that the offices in Asia can contribution to the home organization and other international units
- Actively seek and assess new business opportunities that are relevant for or in the geographical area of responsibility
- Actively contribute to the International Division Management Group
**What it takes to succeed in the role**:
- Senior level experience with a business mind-set, with proven abilities in taking responsibility for executing concurrently on a portfolio of high-quality deliverables in cooperation with Head office
- Extensive knowledge of the financial sector internationally
- Ability to interact efficiently with stakeholders, recommend appropriate interventions and propose strategic and pragmatic solutions
- Demonstrate experience in managing teams and deliverables within a matrix organization
- In-depth understanding of the relationships of business and support units within DNB
- Ability to articulate and communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- You should be curious about people, trends and new technology and committed to enhance the skillset in all parts of the organization
- Strong leadership skills with excellent strategic and analytical mindset
- High level of personal integrity and ethical standards
