We are looking for someone who is excited to work in an AI start-up and is willing to develop him/herself in the HRTech space. As a Cloud Engineer at JobTech, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure and ensuring its security, scalability, and reliability. This role is ideal for someone who loves working across a diverse set of technologies and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and innovation.

In this role, you’ll get to:

- Design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Develop and implement best practices for cloud security, performance, and cost optimization.
- Collaborate with DevOps, Data Science, and Engineering teams to ensure smooth integration and operation of cloud-based solutions.
- Monitor and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure, identify performance bottlenecks, and implement solutions to improve system reliability and performance.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployment processes.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with security standards and industry regulations.
- Conduct database administration, database high availability, disaster recovery, SQL optimisation and experience with system evaluation, analysis, monitoring, and complex problem solving.
- Design, develop, and implement database instances and other software components for the development and production environments in our customers’ private cloud, on-premise, Azure/AWS Government Commercial Cloud servers.
- Test, validate and implement performance and resource optimization improvements in consultation with product development team and cloud providers
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in cloud technologies and provide recommendations for improvement.

So here’s what we’re looking for:

- Proven work experience as a Cloud Engineer or similar role.
- Excellent programming skills in Python or Java.
- Experience in supporting various DB/DB2/SQL/Oracle hosted in cloud platforms and cloud native resources in AWS, Azure and Google Cloud.
- Hands-on experience in Cloud platforms, e.g. AWS, or containerization/ virtualization platforms, e.g. Docker/Kubernetes, is a big plus.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Advanced knowledge of database management: MariaDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB
- Passionate about machine learning and data-driven intelligence systems.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Team player, self-starter, able to work on multiple projects.
