Job Description Summary

The role is responsible and accountable for the overall demand/supply management via the execution of a robust S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) process for Greater Asia. He/She will review business demand forecast by business units and geographic regions to ensure alignment with financial and business objectives. He/she will work collaboratively with operations (manufacturing, customer service, Logistics and country supply chain) to plan and execute fulfillment strategies measured by core supply chain key performance indicators.

Engages and partners Worldwide Business Segment in ensuring that region’s requirements are well supported through out the global network. The individual is the main contact to communicate demand forecast and supply requirements. Often, he/she needs to play an influential role and core communication focal point in working with Worldwide Business Units, understand changes, managing escalation and also participates as an active member and/or lead global and region supply chain initiatives.

By managing a structured S&OP framework, he/she will work closely with Region Business Unit Leaders to drive the ownerships and disciplines in sales operations and country planning across the Greater Asia countries. S&OP issues must be escalated with courage for decision and resolution timely.

As a Regional Leader in demand/supply planning, it is imperative that he/she plays a key role in developing the supply chain planning strategies, play an influential role in working with the WWBU, elevate the S&OP maturity and talent management to support business growth amid the global supply chain disruptions.

Main Responsibilities:
Demand Management:

- Responsible for the management and aggregation of Asia Pacific demand. Analyzes and validates the demand at worldwide business level. Ensures market intelligence, risk and opportunities, new product introductions, conversions and rationalization are captured. Assess the impact of market changes or significant variances in the forecast and recommend appropriate revisions and tactics.
- Establishes strong linkage with Business/ Marketing to have clear understanding of business direction and development of appropriate supply chain action plans
- Builds strong partnership and planning collaboration between country and region to increase seamless engagement.
- Ensures alignment of planning strategies with global and regional business strategies. Understands the market segments for the different businesses, and adapt the right planning process to serve the segments profitably.
- Owns the allocation process to help the region to secure more inventories and to balance the real inventory needs at the country level.
- Works with country planners/ managers to drive effective forecast management.
- Works with Global Supply Chain team on the annual long term planning to support business budget.
- Monitors supply chain metrics performance and drives improvements as required to meet or exceed the targets.
- Accountable for overall region forecast accuracy and ensures alignment of forecast with global and regional business strategies.
