**About the job**

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Scientist to spearhead the development of sophisticated data-driven solutions and intellectual property (IP) focused on SFI problems. This role will require a blend of advanced data science expertise, understanding of ESG frameworks, a creative approach to generate novel insights and models, and good coding skills to deliver high quality prototypes.

**Responsibilities**

IP & Methodology Research and Development
- Research, design and development of data models to address complex ESG challenges such as company carbon emissions estimations, asset extraction for physical risk, etc.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technical advancements in NLP, competitor product offerings, and emerging academic research on SFI.
- Maintain and improve existing code to make current models more robust or add new functionalities.

People leader
- Provide day-to-day oversight and guidance for on-going data science projects in the team.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to other data scientists, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
- Build and maintain relationships with internal partners to find opportunities for new product development and drive existing projects into production.

Data analysis
- Locate, clean, examine and wrangle data. Integrate internal and external data sources and make conscious decisions on production constraints when designing new IP.
- Acting as an SME (Subject Matter Expert) with internal and external partners to inform the development and refinement of SFI models.

Market & stakeholder engagement
- Collaborating in multi-stakeholder research and product development projects and providing analytical support for clients and internal partners.
- Proactively identify potential risks and issues and actively engage all the collaborators in their mitigation and management
- Bring technical knowledge to engage in planning and agreeing sprint goals with other team members in data science, research and production functions.
- Effictively communicate complex impact analyses to partners through reports, visualizations and presentations.

**Requirements**:

- 5+ years of experience as a Data Sciencist, with a focus on machine learning, NLP or advanced analytics.
- Experience of working on ESG-related projects
- High-quality coding skills and track record of delivering production-ready prototypes
- Research mentality with high attention to detail

**Technical skills**
- Expertise in Python, SQL and cloud-based platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Proficient in machine learning libraires (PyTorch, Scikit-learn)
- Experience in data visualization tools (Streamlit package, Power BI)

**Soft skills**
- Strong problem solving and analytical thinking capabilities
- Excellent writing and verbal communication skills, particularly for non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
