As a trusted customer advocate, you will guide organizations through each phase of their cloud journey ensuring they employ the latest best practices with our multi-cloud solutions as well as strategies for migrating workloads at scale. You will partner with a broad range of customers including fortune 500 through to born in the cloud startups. **Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?** - Fluency in English is a must. Another language is a plus. - Within 90 days, you will become competent in our VMware Cloud on AWS (VMC on AWS) platform, and the tools that are used to manage. - You will also develop a basic understanding of our other cloud offerings; Google Cloud VMware Engine (GCVE), Azure VMware Solution (AVS), VMware Cloud Disaster Recovery (VCDR) and VMware on Dell EMC (VMC on Dell EMC). - After 90 days, you will be assigned to accounts and work directly with the Customer Success Manager (CSM) delivering technical guidance and knowledge to our multi-cloud customers. **The Work: What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?** A typical "day in the life" of a Multi-Cloud Architect on your team involves: - Work directly with customers and cross functional teams to achieve business outcomes using VMware’s Multi-Cloud services - Partner with presales teams to ensure our proposed solutions will meet or exceed customer needs while aligning to validated reference architectures - Assist in the ongoing development of reference architectures that can be adapted to meet the needs of our customers’ unique environment - Advise customers on workload migrations strategies including the optimal migration tool and methodology considering workload profiles and underlying network infrastructure - Advise customers on cloud security strategies and best practices to harden against penetration and data breaches - Validate architectures to ensure they are highly available by meeting or exceeding disaster recovery RPO and RTO requirements - Deliver on-site and remote workshops, create and publish customer facing reference content based on agreed architectures, migration strategy, resiliency and security plans - Work closely with Product Management and Engineering to drive awareness and prioritization of customer feature requests and service adoption blockers and effectively communicate status with the customer and account team **What is the leadership like for this role? What is the structure and culture of the team like?** The Hiring Manager for this role is **Don Zajic**, Director leading the Worldwide Multi-Cloud Architect team who looks after the team from Northern Virginia with diverse technical and leadership roles. He has been with VMware Inc for a little over 8.5 years now. The team is distributed and works from different parts of the Globe. There are 5 staff in APJ, 6 in EMEA and 7 in AMER. **Where is this role located?** Remote: This role is fully remote, allowing you the flexibility to work from the location you feel most productive and comfortable.
