**Senior Manager/ Manager, Strategic Communications, Promotions and Outreach**:

**Job Purpose**:
The job holder will be part of the Promotions and Outreach team within the Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Council, tasked to raise WSH awareness and standards in Singapore by promoting safety and health at work and driving adoption of acceptable WSH practices.

The primary responsibilities include planning and driving communication strategies, crafting clear messages for the full range of public communications materials, identifying communication opportunities, liaising with media and other stakeholders, and recommending appropriate responses.

**Responsibilities**:

- Conceptualise, implement and review integrated communication strategies to promote the WSH Council’s key initiatives and programmes.
- Provide strategic communication counsel at both national and sector levels to ensure alignment of messaging, as well as suitability and effectiveness of platforms.
- Cultivate and maintain a strong and close working relationship with the media to facilitate positive coverage of the WSH Council’s events and programmes.
- Draft communication materials, such as speeches, talking points, media releases, anticipated FAQs, webpages and bulletin articles.
- Develop and strengthen relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, through regular engagement and collaboration.
- Monitor, assess and look into improving the effectiveness of communication strategies.
- Track and manage public queries.

**Requirements**:

- Tertiary education, with at least three (3) years of experience working in public relations, corporate communications, and/ or advertising-related field, and/ or publishing/ copywriting.
- A strong communicator, especially in written communications, and familiarity with the development of communication strategies for programmes and initiatives.
- Effectively bilingual in English and Mandarin, as work involves drafting and proofreading Mandarin copy for collaterals and media materials, such as interview scripts.
- A positive, dynamic, and mature personality, and the ability to work independently and well under pressure.
- Experience in project management.
- Keen interest in current affairs and new media tools and development.
- Experience in the Occupational, Safety and Health field and knowledge of the Workplace Safety and Health Act and related legislation is advantageous.
