About the Role

IFCHOR GALBRAITHS is seeking an experienced Panamax Shipbroker to join our expanding dry bulk freight team in Singapore. This is a unique opportunity for a proven broker to leverage their Panamax chartering expertise, Pacific market knowledge, and strong client network within one of the world’s leading international shipbroking companies.

You will play a key role in developing and strengthening our Panamax presence across the Pacific market, working closely with shipowners, charterers, and traders active in the region. This role is designed for a senior professional who can operate independently, generate new business, and consistently deliver high-value outcomes in the Asia-Pacific Panamax market.

**Responsibilities**:
Build, manage, and expand relationships with Panamax owners, charterers, and traders active in the Pacific and surrounding markets.

Negotiate and conclude time charters, voyage charters, and contracts of affreightment (COAs) across Pacific trade flows.

Provide clients with market intelligence, Pacific freight analysis, and FFA insights to support commercial decisions.

Collaborate with colleagues across IFCHOR GALBRAITHS’ global dry bulk offices to ensure smooth execution of fixtures and contracts.

Drive growth of the Panamax desk in Singapore, focusing on Pacific markets.

Identify and pursue new opportunities across Asia-Pacific commodity flows, with engagement in Atlantic Panamax markets.

Skills & Experience

Proven track record in Panamax shipbroking or dry bulk chartering with a focus on the Pacific basin.

Strong network of shipowners, charterers, and commodity players in the Asia-Pacific market.

Commercially driven with excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills.

Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to originate and close new business.

Collaborative team player with the ability to work across global shipbroking teams.
