**Trust Accountant - Assistant Manager**

**Intro**:
Reporting to Head of Private Wealth, you will be responsible for management and financial accounting of assigned trust and its underlying companies. You will work closely with local and CoE team in an effective manner to motivate and coach the team, to continuously meet clients ‘expectations, to optimise the work process and to maintain close contacts with clients.

**Some of the things you'll be doing**:
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Oversee a team of accounting professionals in preparation of trust and its underlying companies’ accounts and financial statements
- Provide accounting support to the trust manager such as identifying the new fresh funds or new financial assets introduced to the trust, distributions and payments
- Track and maintain a record of funds or financial assets movement
- Provide a report of the monthly asset value of each trust structure to the trust manager
- Liaise with auditors, tax agents, and external accountants
- Liaise with the banker, fund manager and broker regarding account maintenance matters (Updating of signing mandate, performing transaction verification, etc.)
- Ensure regulatory compliance requirements are met for all clients
- Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, polices and principles
- Review and ensure the accounts and financial statements of the client are properly drawn up in accordance with the provisions of the Companies Act and Singapore Financial Reporting Standards.
- Support in Continuous assessment of procedures and control and implementing process improvement as necessary
- Coaching junior staff to achieve team and company goal as well as individual performance standard
- Other ad hoc projects

**What technical skills, experiences and qualifications do you need?**

Required level and content of education:

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- At least 4 years of experience in corporate or trust or fund accounting
- People management experience is a mandatory.
- Well-versed in Singapore Financial Reporting Standards
- Willing to hands-on and capable of driving changes and initiatives
- Analytical, meticulous with excellent leadership qualities
- Possess professional qualities with good communication, interpersonal skills and teamwork.
- Fluent in English
