Your mission
As our new mechanical engineer for wearable products, you will join our Project development department as part of the global Mechanical engineering team. Here you will drive NPI projects as Sr. Lead mechanical engineer and expert for earphone & headphone program.
Working alongside concept creators, hardware and acoustics specialists, you will create new and exciting products based on Concept and Business briefs. Joining various project teams, you will:
Acting as lead for the mechanical design creation process, throughout complete NPI phase.
Master concept and architecture engineering, providing mechanical engineering and knowhow.
Make assessments and recommendations e.g., on material and process choices based on mechanical design principles, supporting design for perfection, longevity and magical elements.
Create mechanical constructions and make proof of concept by rapid prototyping & simulations.
Cooperate with suppliers for exploration and product development, transforming proven concept and architecture into product requirements.
Work closely with Quality organization and Partners to ensure product and process validation.

Your location
You will be working out from our office in Singapore. Working closely with your colleagues in a global setting and suppliers in Europe, China and other parts of Asia, you should also expect there to be some travel activity.
What you bring
A passion for mechanical engineering & creation. You have a well-founded and deep understanding of mechanical architecture, design, manufacturing processes and material characteristics. Experiences of leading suppliers and have the capability to transform proven architecture into product requirements.
**Moreover, you bring**:
Degree or master’s in mechanical design, Engineering
10+ years of experiences in R&D or product development
Design experiences in audio, wearable products, hearing aids devices an advantage
3D CAD design SW such as Creo Parametric
Capable of Architecture design with good understand of GD&T, simulation
An understanding of the different tooling processes for different material such as plastic, silicon, aluminium, steel, glass and wood
An open mind, technical curiosity, and attention to detail
Good communication skills in English. Fluent in Mandarin a plus.
