**Position overview**
To provide high quality Occupational Therapy and intervention to a paediatric population to reach their maximum potential and within a transdisciplinary framework with other allied health colleagues.
**Roles & Responsibilities**
Clinician
- Independently assess and identify the individual needs of clients and formulate, develop and implement appropriate individualised/ group therapy programmes
- Providing ongoing therapy to paediatric population
- Targeting goals for intervention and preparing an intervention plan
- Providing guidance to parents how to handle the child and continue build up skills
- Liaise and work with teachers, parents and other stakeholders involved
- Provide consultation and training to teachers, parents and other stakeholders
Management
- Working with the clinic to develop our clinical services
- Supervise junior Occupational Therapists
- Recruitment, Retention and Policy
**Required Qualifications and Experience**
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy recognised by Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC)
- Full registration with Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC) held for at least 5 years
- Minimum of 3 years of paediatric working experience while holding full registration
- Supervisory experience will be favourably looked upon
- Experienced and have a passion for helping children with special needs
