Assistant / Garment Technician

**Overall Job Description**:
Responsible for ensuring that all in-house and samples to be sent to buyer are of good workmanship, measurement, fit and quality as well as ensure that product design are production friendly. Able to conduct in-line and final inspections at factory site.

**Core Responsibilities**:

- All sample checking for measurement, fit, workmanship and quality
- Understand fit and advice paper pattern correction
- Create paper patterns and understand consumption
- Liaise closely with factory and MR team on sample comments
- Work closely with design merchandisers to create production friendly development samples
- Conduct in-line inspections and Final Inspection if required
- Control garment samples through good fit comments in order to ensure good bulk quality
- Co-ordinate between the HQ and the QA team (usually based off-shore)

**Job Specifications**:

- Diploma in Apparel Design or Apparel Merchandising, or relevant training
- 1-5 years working experience
- Competent in Adobe Photo Shop and Illustrator for Garment CAD drawings
- Fluent in Mini marker and paper pattern drawing manually and through CAD
- Good communication skills, preferably able to speak mandarin and English (to handle enquiries from Chinese speaking associates)
- “Hands-in” and adaptable working in both local and international environment

**Salary**: $2,000.00 - $3,200.00 per month

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

Supplemental pay types:

- 13th month salary
