**What the role is**
- The mission of the Ministry of Finance (MOF) is to create a better Singapore through finance. We aim to sustain a high-performance Government with sound public finances that enable growth opportunities for all Singaporeans. The Ministry of Finance is an important central planning agency within the Public Service, serving four key roles:

- As a Steward, we are responsible for the Government’s overall budget and management of reserves
- As an Enabler, we provide resources (funds, products and expertise) to other government agencies for the implementation of national policies and programmes
- As an Integrator, we bring agencies and/or other stakeholders together to achieve whole-of-government outcomes
- As a Catalyst, we seed new ideas and open up new terrain where others have not yet seen the potential for success.

**What you will be working on**
- The mission of the International Directorate is to advance and defend Singapore's interests in international finance and establish Singapore as a reputable member of the international financial community. This includes building networks of strategic relationships with other countries, participating and shaping agenda in multilateral fora and partnering with international financial institutions on specific projects. The officer will work in a team to organise overseas trips and develop country positions for key issues. The officer will work closely with other government agencies and stakeholders to adopt a whole-of-government approaching in promoting Singapore's economic interests.

**What we are looking for**
- A degree in public policy, economics or international relations is preferred.
- Keen interest in, and passion for public policy work.
- Strong analytical mind with excellent verbal, written and networking skills
- Willing to travel
