Senior Technician

**Varel Singapore, A Tribute Portfolio Hotel** is set to open in Q4 2025 / Q1 2026, and we’re looking for a driven and detail-oriented Senior Technician / Technician to join our pre-opening team.

**About the Role**

As our Senior Technician / Technician, you will lead the charge in maintaining the heartbeat of the hotel. From complex repairs to project coordination, you will ensure our spaces are safe, efficient, and beautifully functional - ready to welcome guests with comfort and confidence.

**Key Responsibilities**
- **Complex Repairs & Troubleshooting**: Resolve advanced issues across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and structural systems
- **Preventive Maintenance**: Oversee scheduled upkeep to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan
- **Project Management**: Support renovation and upgrade projects, liaising with vendors and ensuring timely delivery
- **Safety & Compliance**: Conduct inspections and enforce safety protocols in line with regulatory standards
- **Inventory Management**: Maintain organized stock of tools, parts, and supplies for efficient operations
- **Team Collaboration**: Work closely with all departments to address maintenance needs and support hotel functions

**What We’re Looking For**
- **Educational Background**: Diploma, Higher NITEC, NITEC in Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing, or a related professional certification.
- **Experience**: Minimum 2-3 years of hands-on experience in hotel maintenance (preferably in a 4- or 5-star property) or a similar role within the hospitality industry. **Pre-opening experience (a plus)**:

- **Coordination Skills**: Proven ability to work collaboratively with contractors across various maintenance activities.
- **Availability**: Willingness to work shifts and respond to emergencies as required.
- **Technical Expertise**: Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems is an advantage.
- **Problem-Solving**: Excellent diagnostic skills and a proactive approach to troubleshooting.
- **Professionalism**: Service-oriented mindset with clear and effective communication skills.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $2,800.00 - $3,200.00 per month
