**Overview
Location of this role - Singapore

**Key Responsibilities**
- Link the Newbuild & Novel Technology Support with other pre-contract and post-contract services, delivered to owners worldwide, achieving “One LR Service” offer to owners/charterers
- Support shipowners, charterers, on review of technical specifications, undertake owner’s plan approval, advise on regulatory aspects and other services as required.
- Co-ordinate specialist input from LR’s internal technical teams to clients and act as the focal point in order to deliver accurate, timely and expert advice.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of current and upcoming regulations applicable to newbuild projects.
- Undertake engineering review, technical analysis and studies, preparation of technical reports on various technologies, regulatory matters as required by specific projects.
- Undertake project manager’s role and manage projects, ensuring service delivery in accordance with quality system requirements, cost structures and budgetary / contractual requirements.
- Ensure consistency of service delivery within time frames and with accurate advice.

**Preferred Profile**
- A degree within a relevant area of study from a recognised institution.
- Preferably 7-10 years in the shipping industry with ship newbuilding site experience/ sea-going experience as a certified engineer or involvement with a shipowner’s new build technical team.
- Strong knowledge on ship design and operation of vessels.
- Demonstrable understanding of project management process, gained through experience and training.
- Proficiency in the English language along with the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing on complex technical issues, regulatory matters across different levels within an organization.
- Ability to undertake research and work through to solve unique problems.
- High degree of initiative and be a self-starter.
