**Controls Engineer, Data Center Design Responsibilities**:

- General-Act as an Owner’s Representative for the DCD team.Develop and lead new BMS & EPMS standards and processes.Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams across different regions.Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, eg. Network Engineering, Construction, and Facilities Operations.Ability to travel domestically and internationally to data center offices, sites, and factories to support design and construction activities as needed (25%-30%).
- Engineer of Record (EoR)/Consultant Engineer Design Phase-Provide owner’s direction on any project-specific technical challenges.Participate in design team meetings, work sessions, and page turns.Review EoR/Consultant Engineer design documentation against owner's requirements.
- BMS Contractor Hardware and Software Design Phase-Participate in design team meetings, work sessions, and page turns.Review BMS contractor hardware and software design documentation.Assist in developing, reviewing, and managing BMS contractor schedules and working with design and construction teams to ensure milestone dates are on track.Conduct pricing exercises to evaluate BMS contractor proposals and change order estimates.
- Construction Phase-Participate in construction meetings and workshops.Provide issue resolution support for BMS and EPMS.Coordinate client network connection requirements with stakeholders.Review mechanical, electrical and controls commissioning test scripts.Support Software Factory Acceptance Testing (SFAT) as owner representative for the DCD team.Support Factory Witness Testing (FWT) as owner representative for the DCD team.Support, in person or via video conference, installation & commissioning related activities, as required.

**Minimum Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or similar related field.
- Proven troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Experience in the EoR design & construction delivery processes.
- Working knowledge of SCADA systems.
- Effective presentation and communication skills.
- Minimum of eight (8) years professional experience in the building automation system design, development, and management.
- Understanding of Modbus protocol to include TCP, and RTU.
- Knowledge of Networking Server/Client Workstations.
- Cross-discipline knowledge of critical facility systems.
- Familiar with hardware, equipment, and software product development process.
- Knowledge of thermodynamics and psychometrics.
- Understanding of electrical systems including low voltage, high voltage, power generation, UPS.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Citect Power SCADA understanding and working knowledge.
- DCIM understanding and working knowledge.
- PLC programming experience.
- Previous Datacenter/Critical Facilities experience as Owner’s representative.
- Working knowledge of the data center technology stack: computer, network, storage, and software architectures
- Schneider Electric PLC/Unity Pro experience.
