Digital Delivery Director

Responsibilities

MANAGEMENT

Work closely with top management in achieving organizational goals by advising on appropriate technologies for project delivery;
Identify and promote appropriate technologies for deploying in the Built-Environment projects from inception to completion of the project;
Maintain direct and indirect reports, process documentation, performance checks and adherence to BIM governance & documented standards;
Work closely with in-house Design Dept, IT Dept and Other groups to reshape processes to best industry practices in Digital Delivery (BIM & Others);
Work with Board, BD, Principals, Legal and PMs to establish a working knowledge and understanding of BIM capabilities and impacts on project delivery;
Work with IT Department on procurement, management, testing and delivery of digital tools and BIM related software content;
Track the progress of BIM, IDD, ISO-19650 implementation across project teams and identify areas of improvement.

HR

Collaborate with HR to establish BIM job descriptions and criteria for finding BIM talent at all levels for project delivery;
Conduct and chair interviews for hiring and approving BIM resources from outside the company for target roles in the organization;
Assists in the placement, training and hiring of new individuals for BIM implementation in the teams under various levels of BIM responsibilities.

TRAINING

Reskill and Upskill professionals in disruptive technological advance with appropriate training program in digital tools (BIM & Others);
Design, Formulate and Implement BIM curriculum as per national & international BIM framework to fulfill organizational aspirations.

CONSULTANCY

Establishes technical QAQC and work with Architectural, Structural & MEP professionals to find efficiencies and eliminate potential conflicts;
Estimates FTE (full-time-equivalent) utilization based on previous projects and data to predict and establish future time lines and allocate resources for projects.

Promote standardization in information management and project delivery using ISO-19650 and other internationally recognized standards;
Implement national standards including IDD, VDC, AR/VR, Design Automation wherever possible as per the Industry Transformation Map (ITM);
Conduct sharing sessions and training programs to in-house and external consultants for BIM standardization, including ISO-1965 Part 1 to Part 5;
Help the organization to achieve international standards accreditations (including ISO) at individual and organizational levels;
Create documents for BIM, IDD, ISO-19650 implementation in projects and update them at regular intervals.

TECHNICAL

Provide leadership and support in the implementation of IVRS / VDC / AR / VR services, BIM ISO 19650 & BIM Management in the various business units.

Provide competitive edge to Business Unit in their Tendering process and BID Management and leveraging IVRS / VDC / VR / BIM capabilities and Processes / Workflows / Strategies.

Work with the teams on VDC and VR (VRcollab Software) & other VR Tools.

Work with Augmented Reality (AR) devices using Oculus and Hololens.

To provide in-house VDC Classes / Training / Clinics / Workshops to Business Units to get the efficient results within the Triple Constraints in their ongoing design and execution stages as part of the project or mandatory requirements.

To operate IVRS and give presentations (Presenting Demo and operations on Virtual Reality (VR) and Immersive Virtual Reality System (IVRS) / Computer Aided Virtual Environment (CAVE) to the Visitors / Delegates.

Implement and Conduct the VDC process in to the IVRS.

Establish standards of practice and integrated workflows with a focus on interdisciplinary collaboration including Integrated Digital Delivery and Integrated Project Delivery.

Provide technical support to help business units engage IVRS / VDC Services.

Develop collaborative project workflows and processes with project partners and VDC staff.

Knowledge of Singapore standard VDC guide.

Provide VDC implementation oversight on projects; develop BIM Execution Plans (BEP).

Work with Project Managers and Design Leaders to establish the VDC process for inclusion the Project Execution Plan and project support including authoring, collaboration & management of BIM Projects.

Review and report on the status and progress of IVRS / usage and adoption.

Update, develop, and implement VDC training programs for staff.

Liaison with IT staff and programmers to ensure functional and efficient hardware and software setup.

Progress reporting to Senior Director.
