We have a great opportunity for a laboratory technician role to join Sequential team.The core functions of this role are to assist in the daily operation of our Molecular Biology team. These functions include performing accurate molecular-based testing, develop and validate molecualr assays.

**Key duties include**:

- To test samples aseptically without error, and within allowable time & temperature holding time requirements.
- To support laboratory functions including but not limited to general housekeeping of allocated workspace, preparing reagents etc.
- To maintain good lab practice at all times.
- To operate in accordance with the company's quality and procedures manuals and to not do anything which would jeopardise the company's various accreditations.
- To keep the laboratory and equipment in a good physical condition at all times.
- To maintain a positive, professional and safe working environment, being mindful of the company’s health and safety procedures.
- To be willing to work on continuous improvement initiatives.

**Qualifications**
A science related qualification, preferably in Molecular Biology or have relevant laboratory experience.

**Experience**
- Hands-on experience on performing DNA-based test, e.g. DNA extraction, PCR and qPCR.
- Practical knowledge of basic microbiological handling techniques is highly preferred.

**Attributes**
- Aseptic techniques to avoid the potential for contamination are a must.
- Good time management skills are a must, in order to keep up with the pace of a busy production environment.
- Proven ability to work efficiently without close supervision.
- Act with integrity at all times and maintain a high standard of work.
- Willing to learn and have a “can-do attitude”.
- Able to take initiative, and work in a fair and responsible way.
- Can communicate clearly and effectively across multiple teams.
