Job summary
We are looking for an innovative, highly motivated, and experienced Sr. Product Manager to build from ground up the new generation of customer engagement products to drive customer shopping engagement with Amazon JP from Day 1. Early customer engagement is a nascent initiative, fundamental to Amazon’s long term growth in JP and represent one of the most ambiguous challenge and high visibility project in the marketing organization.

In this role, you will be responsible for conceptualizing, executing, and analyzing go-big product investment plan for shopping engagement, with a particular emphasis on increasing engagement for our new shopper cohorts. You will build scalable set of engagement products that leverages machine learning to drive contextually relevant content customized at a customer-level, through multiple touchpoints and onsite/offsite pages, in order to drive new customers activation and shopping engagement. You will also partner with internal business owners to develop marketing tech products that will empower them to fast experiment and scale engagement programs without extensive effort.

Key job responsibilities
- Quantify business opportunities by continually assessing the needs of the customer, market trends, and competitive landscape
- Define 3Y vision for new shopper engagement strategy in JP with detailed product roadmap to get there
- Design scalable set of omni-channel engagement products that leverages machine learning to drive contextually relevant content customized at a customer-level on both onsite and offsite placements
- Influence development of existing engagement products owned by worldwide teams by identifying overlap between them and gaps that prevent JP marketing team to meet customer needs
- Leverage machine learning to automate and raise the CX bar in partnership with JP Science team
- Build configurable and self-service Marketing tech products that enable marketers to rapidly launch engagement experiments with zero or minimum tech efforts
- Drives product discussions (e.g. vision, goals, tenets, roadmap, narratives, MBR/QBR, status) with leadership and stakholder
- Partner with international stakeholders, share and learn worldwide best practices and create synergy between marketplaces with similar needs to JP

- MBA preferred
- Demonstrated ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a high-energy, fast-paced environment. High degree of organization and ability to manage multiple, competing priorities in the heat of battle.
- Communications and collaboration skills that enable you to earn trust up, down, and across the company
- Extreme attention to detail and willingness to roll up the sleeves
- Experience in building customer engagement product and loyalty programs
- Knowledge in Machine learning and omnichannel content optimization
- Experience with SQL
- Japanese language skills preferred but not required
