**About our group**:
Advanced Metrology team is a newly formed group in RMO WLD to focus on developing new test metrology at drive level & VTS. The goal/purpose is to invent new test methodology to generate more in depth engineering design data information that can be utilized for media design approach & direction

**About the role - you will**:

- Daily job duties is to understudy current HAMR DVL engineering data & understand the KPIVs & transfer function of the reported trend line coming out from the drive DVL results. Develop & invent new test methodology to further enhance the engineering correlation transfer function understanding
- In addition, need to familiarize with the VTS test process & data trend line for better correlation of VTS to DVL.

**About you**:

- Prefer someone with recording physic & material science background
- With Drive system knowledge (include drive cert code knowledge or background)
- Added advantage with VTS knowledge & experiences.

**Your experience includes**:

- Have programming skill & interest on reading cert/test algo code

**Location**:
The Shugart site (named after Seagate’s founder, Al Shugart) is a research and design center. Easily accessible from the One-North MRT Station, many employees choose to take mass-transportation to work. Ample free on-site parking is also available.
