**Role**:
Significant results will be published in peer-reviewed journals and/or patented. As well as the research focus, this role will also be involved in contributing to the strategic direction of the bank and leading collaborative engagements with government, industry and university.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Carry out original research, based both on your own ideas and relevant areas of the bank that may benefit from quantum advantage
- Author manuscripts and see them through the publication process
- Communicate progress and disseminate results
- Lead / support grant proposals
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert for your area, provide knowledge sharing sessions and thought leadership

**To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements**:

- PhD in Quantum Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field
- Knowledge of research topics in quantum information and quantum algorithms
- Published research in at least one of the aforementioned topics
- Familiarity with NISQ devices and implementation of quantum algorithms on such hardware
- Programming experience in quantum algoritms
