Investment Analyst or Associate

Cercano Management Asia Pte. Ltd. (“Cercano Asia”) is a MAS-licensed investment manager focused on ultra-high net worth clients and their respective foundations. Cercano Asia is the first and only international office of Cercano Management (“Cercano”) headquartered in Bellevue, WA. Cercano invests globally for its clients, commonly operating as their family office, and invests across venture capital, private equity, private credit, and public equities. Based in Singapore, Cercano Asia is focused on early-stage venture capital in Southeast Asia and broader Asia.

Cercano Asia is seeking to hire an Analyst or Associate to join the Singapore venture team. In this role, he/she will:

- Work closely with senior professionals within a lean team structure to invest in early-stage venture capital opportunities across Southeast Asia and the region, with an investment quantum between US$1-10 million either as a lead investor or part of a consortium
- Help to deploy follow-on investments into select portfolio companies at later stages
- Opportunistically pursue investments in later-stage or mature opportunities that may complement our early-stage investment mandate
- Assist in portfolio management of invested companies
- Collaborate with our US offices to source or work on global opportunities

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Supporting the investment team through the full deal cycle, including identification, assessment, and execution of investment opportunities
- Building financial models and valuation analyses
- Conducting company and industry due diligence and in-depth industry and market research
- Writing internal memoranda and reviewing legal documentation
- Working with legal, financial, and commercial advisors on process management, diligence, structuring, and negotiations
- Monitoring and supporting existing investment positions and founder teams
- Assisting team members with all other aspects of business development, including networking with key relationships across the ecosystem, entrepreneurial programs/communities and other potential sources of deal flow, as well as representing the firm at industry events
- Collaborating across the firm
- Helping to manage, train and guide intern(s)

**REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS**

- 2-3 years (for an analyst) or 3-5 years (for an associate) of experience at a top-tier investment manager, investment bank, consulting firm, start-up or similar
- Venture capital or other similar investment experience, highly preferred
- Interest in disruptive technology and businesses
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong quantitative, financial modeling and analytical skills
- A high level of professional maturity, integrity, independence, intellectual curiosity, initiative, and solid work ethic
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, small team environment
- Regional language fluency a plus
- Bachelor’s degree
