Mott MacDonald is a global engineering, management and development consultancy. We have an exciting opportunity for a **talented Environmental (or Social) Consultant to join our Environment and Social (E&S) team to be based in Singapore** where you will be working on projects across southeast Asia and in the wider region.

You’ll be part of a team that has a track record of successfully undertaking environmental and social impact assessments (ESIA) and due diligence of renewable energy and other critical infrastructure projects. We enable our clients to secure financing through timely delivery of comprehensive ESIAs, meeting the needs of a variety of financing institutions within the context of international environmental and social performance standards or safeguards. We also support investors in assessing projects and assist in their decision-making processes resulting in responsible investment.

**The Opportunity**
- Contribute to environmental studies, analysis and reporting related to environmental and social impact assessment; and ensuring compliance of project activities with national environmental regulations and international standards such as Equator Principles, World Bank EHS Guidelines, IFC Performance Standards, ADB Safeguards.
- Assist in project management, including preparation of project work plans, schedules, budgets and management of all technical activities, coordination of technical staff and sub-contractor, preparation and editing of project documents (proposals, reports, maps).
- Enhance your relationship management skills by working collaboratively with clients and internal teams to ensure that environmental considerations are taken into account.
- Conduct field surveys and sampling activities, and coordinate /manage sub-contractors.
- Think and work globally in partnership with E&S teams across Mott MacDonald in managing resources, delegating activities, and managing project budgets.

**About You**:

- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline related to environment, ecology/biodiversity etc (Masters or post-grad qualifications highly desirable).
- 5+ years’ experience working as an environmental practitioner/consultant carrying out environmental impact assessments, due diligence reviews and/or preparing management plans.
- Excellent English language skills (spoken and written) and at least one regional southeast Asian language (as this is a regional role).
- Experience in working with international social frameworks such as IFC Performance Standards, ADB Safeguards, or World Bank Environmental and Social Framework, is a plus.
- Project management skills of a high standard and the ability to engage well with clients.
- Experience in undertaking site visits / audits is preferred.
- A team player who is Enthusiastic and ambitious with a passion for learning.
- Demonstrate familiarity, skills, knowledge, or experience in any of the following areas:_
- Environmental and social impact assessments (EIA / ESIA) including baseline studies, impact assessments, and/or environmental modelling.
- Biodiversity assessments based on national and international standards including IFC PS6.
- Stakeholder engagements, familiarity in social / community development plan, resettlement, IP plans.
- Use of ArcGIS software to generate drawings, layouts, maps, and graphics using to support environmental and biodiversity assessments.
