JOB SUMMARY:
The individual in this position will provide compliance oversight support to the client project team to facilitate the acceptance of the Project. This support will be focused on verification and oversight of trackwork for compliance with Contract requirements. This role requires substantial technical / administrative work.

The responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
Develop intimate knowledge and understanding of Contractual requirements related to rail system design, materials, equipment, installation, testing, and commissioning.

Review trackwork-related submittals.

Perform quality control, testing, and safety certification of the facilities, equipment and systems for trackwork.

Make frequent visits to site to audit and oversee trackwork construction.

Observes work operations for compliance with applicable safety regulations.

Perform and prepare field reports of rail testing activities.

Track all open trackwork-related construction and testing issues to closure.

Track progress of trackwork installation log.

Provide field and engineering support.

Coordinate trackwork construction, testing, and interface matters.

Identify trackwork specific verification activities.

Participate in track clearance inspections.

Minimum Requirements:
Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.

At least five (5) years direct experience in the engineering, installation, and commissioning of track in a heavy rail transit system. Maintenance experience may be considered towards this requirement.

Minimum of five (5) years of extensive, progressively more responsible experience in the management and administration of heavy rail transit systems engineering and construction programs.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent business and technical writing.

Track geometry elements such as spirals, vertical grades, compound curves, super elevation, simple curves, rail head cant and other associated track geometry.

Proficient in methods and techniques of conducting track inspections and quality audits.

Project management / team leadership.

Construction or engineering experience that corroborates knowledge and understanding construction contracts and ability to compose technical/contractual written communications.

Quality Control.

Proven team player skills with ability to build and maintain internal and external relationships.

Strong organizational, interpersonal, problem solving and analytical skills.

Capable of reading drawings and schematics.
