We are developing a world-class product management organisation and have an exciting opportunity for an Associate Product Manager to help us define and develop the user experience in our mobile apps. You will be part of a team that is innovating and enhancing our flagship Economist app and our lighter-weight Espresso app, with the ultimate goal of growing, engaging and retaining a diverse audience of paying subscribers. You will be working closely with a number of other mission teams to drive significant impact for The Economist users and business. This role would suit someone in the early stages of their product career looking to join a revered organisation with clear career progression, or someone with Business Analyst/Product Analyst experience looking to progress into product management.

- Reports to the Group Product Manager
- Working across the Apps pillar to ensure consistency and cohesion between teams, and working closely with other pillars to share learnings, insights and outcomes

Accountabilities:
**Responsibilities**:

- You’ll bring an eye for detail and problem solving, with a strong desire to bring satisfaction and delight to our free and paying apps customers
- You’ll work in close collaboration your apps peers, ensuring cohesion and consistency across our missions
- You will be passionate about media consumers’ reading, listening and viewing habits, needs and behaviours
- You will be adept at understanding engagement and retention data trends that will help to define next steps and measure the impact of your work
- You will bring experience of a test-and-learn development culture
- You’ll be able to confidently collaborate with designers, developers, QA and delivery, using Agile methodologies to their full potential
- Confident creating user stories, requirements and acceptance criteria
- You’ll be passionate about working closely with a great cross-functional team to build delightful experiences in a fast-paced environment
