**Your Team Responsibilities**: We are looking for a Carbon Markets Policy Specialist to join our Carbon Markets Policy & Guidance team. The team tracks organisations and governments seeking to shape private sector responses to climate change and the development of the carbon credit market on the path to net zero. This vacancy is for a mid
- to senior-level researcher to join our team and take the lead on carbon market policy research in the Asia-Pacific region.
- ** Your skills and experience that will help you excel**: - Undergraduate and/or post-graduate degree in Environmental Studies, Climate Change, Geography, or a related field. Post-graduate degree preferred. At least 5 years' experience from the public, private, financial or NGO sectors relating to climate change, net zero, carbon markets or similar. Experience with national climate policy or international climate negotiations is particularly welcomed. Proven responsibility for delivering reports, briefings, or other outputs. Experience/knowledge across various climate policy issues, with the ability to extract insights and communicate complex issues to senior-level audiences. Excellent English-language communication, writing and presentation skills to clearly articulate ideas and facilitate strong relations with a global team of carbon and climate research analysts, technology and operations teams. Other language skills of relevance to the Asia-Pacific region would be a major asset in this role. Demonstrable enthusiasm for addressing climate change in the corporate and financial sectors.
