[What the role is]

We are looking for service-oriented individual to join the Operations & Facilities Management Department of Memorial Facilities and Planning Division which oversees the operation and maintenance of Government cemeteries, crematoria and columbaria.

**[What you will be working on]**

You will play a key role in providing after-death care services and your job responsibilities include:

- Manage the daily operations and maintenance of the building facilities, Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) systems, daily conservancy and landscaping work of Mandai Crematorium & Columbarium, Yishun Columbarium and Kranji State Cemetery.
- Manage the maintenance and repair of buildings to ensure a safe, functional, and aesthetically pleasing environment for staff and visitors.
- Manage the procurement and contract management of building maintenance, conservancy and landscaping, to ensure high-quality and cost-effective services.
- Coordinate and supervise officers and contractors to ensure efficient and effective operations.
- Implement energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives to reduce carbon footprint.
- Implement and monitor compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations and standards to maintain a secure and sustainable facility environment.
- Plan and execute work improvement projects such as periodic / cyclical Repair & Redecoration work, structural maintenance and related work
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand and address facility-related needs and support organisational goals.
- Handle and manage feedback.
- Perform other duties assigned by supervisor.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in maintenance and management of building services & equipment
- Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Able to lead, interact and foster teamwork
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Able to handle adverse situations and difficult customers
- Good problem-solving, writing & communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
- Mature, independent, responsible and resourceful
- Willing to work in after-life care service environment
- Able and willing to work on weekends and public holidays
