**Role**: Agri-Commodity Trader - Grains, Pulses & Oilseeds

**Location**: Singapore

**About the Client**:Our client is one of the fastest growing Agri-commodity trading companies in the region with offices in Singapore, Hong Kong, Mumbai, London, Zurich, and Lagos.

**Overview of the role**:PSS has been mandated by our client to carry out a search for a global Agri-commodity trader based in Singapore to add to its team of global agri-commodity traders.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Be involved in developing a commodity sourcing strategy with the global procurement team for agri-commodities like soyabean, rice, corn, cashew, sesame, ginger, spices (star anise, cloves) and chilli.
- Build a global customer network for these commodities and structure future contract transactions (pricing, quantity, delivery dates, delivery location & other terms) that can be executed by the trading operations team.
- Monitor market trends and factors that affect supply, including weather conditions and foreign exchange rates.
- Co-ordinate the transaction between suppliers and buyers to support timely delivery of the product to customers in accordance with the contract.
- Will be responsible for executing and overseeing the lifecycle of each trade/business confirmation including contracts Logistics, documentation, insurance.

**Prior Experience & Skills Required**:

- 12-15 years of experience, most of which would be in trading of agri-commodities.
- Qualifications: Bachelors degree in finance from a reputed trade institute or business and a valid commodity broking license.
- Good operational knowledge of trade operations on international trades, delivery terms and documentation requirements.
- Must possess strong interpersonal, communication and analytical skills. An entrepreneurial spirit plus financial acumen and a knack for numbers are needed to evaluate the potential risks involved in trades.
